Privacy Policy

1. Your salary numbers

• Every calculation runs in your browser. The CTC, bonuses, stock and other figures you enter are not sent to our server or stored by us.
• If you use “Copy link”, your numbers are written into the part of the link after the “#”. Browsers don’t send that part to any server, so we never receive it. Anyone you share the link with can see those numbers, so share it only with people you trust.

2. What we do process

• Server logs. Our host (Vercel) automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver pages, stop abuse and keep the site secure. These logs are kept for a short period.
• Anonymous visit counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, the referring site, country and device type without cookies and without building a profile of you. It never sees the numbers you type.
• How the site is used. We use PostHog, in cookieless mode, to count page views and a few actions such as starting a calculation, copying a comparison link or opening a shared link. These events never include your salary figures or anything you type, and PostHog sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and creates no profile of you. We don’t record sessions on this site.
• Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your own browser.
• If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.

3. Who we share it with

Only our host, Vercel, which processes server logs and visit counts under its own privacy terms, PostHog (cookieless usage counts), and Google, which provides our email. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

4. How long we keep it

Server logs: briefly, as set by our host. Emails: as long as needed to help you.

5. Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or withdraw consent, and you can raise a complaint. Email skynettstudio@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

6. Children

CTC Decoder is meant for working adults and is not directed at children.

7. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, strict security headers and rate limiting, and we don’t collect data we don’t need.

8. Changes and grievances
